Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 13, 2026
Abbie ("we", "our", "us") is an AI-powered project assistant that operates inside Slack. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with.
1. Data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to provide our service:
- Slack workspace data: Messages and commands directed at Abbie, workspace and channel identifiers, and your Slack user profile (name, avatar).
- Third-party account tokens: OAuth tokens for services you choose to connect (e.g. Trello, LinkedIn). These are stored securely and used solely to perform actions on your behalf.
- Payment information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing details (name, email, payment method) through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers — Stripe handles this securely.
2. How we use your data
- To process your commands and deliver Abbie's functionality within Slack.
- To authenticate with third-party services you have connected.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To improve and maintain the reliability of our service.
3. Third-party data sharing
We only share your data with the third-party providers you explicitly choose to connect. These may include:
- Trello (Atlassian) — when you connect your Trello account to manage boards and cards.
- LinkedIn — when you connect your LinkedIn account for lookups or posting.
- Stripe — to process payments securely. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data they handle.
- Slack — as the platform Abbie operates on, Slack receives messages exchanged with the bot.
We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not share data with any service you have not connected.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Microsoft Azure. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and can be revoked by you at any time by disconnecting the integration.
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you uninstall Abbie from your Slack workspace, we delete your stored data within 30 days. Payment records may be retained longer as required by law.
6. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the data we hold about you.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Disconnect any third-party integration at any time.
- Uninstall Abbie from your Slack workspace.
